Catalog description

Pre-requisites: graduate standing in the MSW program. Designed for social work students interested in careers and partnerships with community and public libraries. It explores the intersection between the social work and library professions, including the values and ethics inherent in both fields. The course examines how social work and social justice principles can be integrated into library services to enhance advocacy efforts and access to resources and services library customers need to address their personal and community needs.
