Catalog description

Pre-requisites: graduate standing in the MSW program. Designed to give the participant a working knowledge of how to engage in the process of trauma treatment as a clinical social worker. In behavioral health settings clients presenting with trauma may be the norm instead of the exception, and this course is designed to improve the quality of treatment for those who have experienced trauma. There is an emphasis on the common factors that help all trauma treatment become more effective.
