Notes: may be stacked with SOWK 585 . Pre-requisites: junior standing. Examines the issue of homelessness in America while highlighting demographics, causes, and regional variations. Special attention is paid to homelessness and related services within the state of Washington. Various service approaches are examined, including: shelter and other supports designed to assist individuals and families cope with homelessness, transitional and other supportive housing programs, and homelessness prevention.
