Pre-requisites: BASW major. Relationship building skills are emphasized to begin gathering and interpreting biopsychosocial data on the interactions between individuals, families, and other groups and their environments. Emphasizes culturally competent, strengths-based and systems-oriented assessment. Demonstrates how social work values and the generalist perspective guide engagement. Explores the role of self in helping process.
