Catalog description

Pre-requisites: BASW Major. A practice-oriented course that seeks to empower social workers to engage in the policy arena. It demonstrates how social workers can impact policy development, implementation, and analysis in partnership with their clients and other human services advocates. The course includes an overview of civics with students learning policy research and analysis skills and strategies to advocate for fair and just policy change within the human services delivery system.
