Catalog description

Pre-requisites: BASW Major. Emphasizes the development of a knowledge base and skills for working in a diverse society at both the direct and indirect practice levels. Diverse populations refers mainly to major ethnic/racial groups although other oppressed populations are addressed. While brief descriptive materials are explored for each population, a primary critical task is the examination of one's own attitudes and values. Models of evidence-based practice with diverse populations are presented.
