Satisfies: a BACR for social sciences. Sociology seeks to develop a body of interrelated scientific propositions or generalizations that explain social behavior in non-psychological terms. Its fundamental goal is to understand how human beings fit their activities into a system of stable (sometimes unstable) social arrangements. Hence the course introduces the concepts, principles, and theories of sociology.
