Catalog description

Pre-requisites: admission to the MS Counseling program or permission of instructor. Issues of sexuality and intimacy are significant concerns for many individuals, couples, and families. This course is designed for clinical counseling students and explores their understanding of the complex relationship between sexual identity, sexual desires, gender norms, and gender identities, particularly as they intersect with other aspects of belonging (family, race, religion, social class, ethnicity, disability, etc.).
