Catalog description

Pre-requisites: admission to the MS Counseling program. Provides an understanding and experiential practice of the skills needed to form a working alliance, explore presented issues, and begin assessment and treatment planning with clients. Participants become familiar with the initial stages of counseling, effective techniques for managing the interaction process, and the importance of self-awareness in the counselor.
