Pre-requisites: admission to the graduate counseling program, clinical mental health specialty. Provides an overview of the role of the clinical mental health counselor in the community. It includes an examination of the history, philosophy, professional practice, advocacy, ethics, and laws pertaining to clinical mental health counselors. Students also interact with clinical mental health counselors in the community.
