Notes: may be stacked with PSYC 541 . Pre-requisites: PSYC 100 , PSYC 302 preferred. Presents the theoretical background and approach to psychotherapy taken in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). CFT is based in evolutionary psychology, affective neuroscience, cognitive-behavior therapy, and centuries-old mindfulness and compassion practices. Students learn to understand emotional difficulties and work with them.
