Pre-requisites: graduate standing or permission of instructor. Survey of the history, theory, philosophy, and practice of planning. Includes consideration of the nature of the planning profession's evolution, the profession's relationship to politics, the extent of ideological pluralism among planners, and the highly varied nature of professional planning activities.
