Catalog description

Pre-requisites: MATH 163 , PHYS 221 . An introduction to the origin and development of quantum theory with emphasis on the classical experiments leading to Schroedinger's wave mechanics and applications of Schroedinger's Equation to simple systems. Explicit solutions of the standard one dimensional problems and the use of the linear algebraic Dirac formalism will be discussed in detail.
