Catalog description

Pre-requisites: all courses in physical therapy are restricted to students accepted into the program. Corequisite: PHTH 612SL . Provides an in-depth study of patient examination, evaluation, pathophysiology, and intervention of the musculoskeletal system. Covers fundamental orthopedic principles, scanning examinations, diagnosis and intervention related to the cervical and thoracic spine and upper extremity. Special topics include the temporomandibular region, concussion, headaches, and arthritis. Emphasis is on differential diagnosis, clinical decision making, and intervention planning. Companion course to PHTH 612SL .
