Catalog description

Pre-requisites: passed all previous term courses in the OT program. Corequisite: OCTH 533SP . Provides an understanding of theoretical basis and intervention skills applied in the occupational therapy process with the older adult. Topics include: review of physiological and psychosocial aspects of typical aging and the relationship to occupational performance, occupational therapy evaluation and intervention skills for common health conditions affecting functional performance in the aging population, and special topics in occupational therapy geriatric. Companion course to OCTH 533SP .
