Catalog description
Notes: four hour lecture, two hours lab per week. Pre-requisites: MENG 241 with a grade ≥C or METC 341 with a grade ≥B; MENG 353 with a grade ≥C; and a declared Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology major. Corequisite: MENG 453L . Expands upon the concepts covered in the Industrial Materials class. Focuses on how materials and the design of products and the processes to make them are interrelated. Explores processing and properties of materials such as glass, ceramics, polymers, and metals other than steel. Companion course to MENG 453L .
