Catalog description

Pre-requisites: MATH 210 or equivalent course approved by the department. This math content course for prospective K–8 teachers requires students enrolled in the class to solve a large variety of problem-solving problems using a variety of strategies including the use of manipulatives, technology and mathematical representations. Techniques for teaching problem solving are discussed in the course. The use of a variety of types of technology is a required component of the course.
