Pre-requisites: MATH 225 . Arithmetic in different bases, fundamental theorem of arithmetic, modular arithmetic, Wilson's and Fermat's theorems, RSA codes, perfect numbers, linear and quadratic congruences, quadratic reciprocity, Pythagorean triples, Gaussian integers and arithmetic in other settings, Fermat's last theorem and the method of descent.
