Notes: this course provides depth and topics required by Washington State Teacher Competencies for K–8 elementary certification. Pre-requisites: MATH 208 and MATH 209 . This course is designed to give future K–8 teachers a basis for understanding elementary school mathematics. Topics include algebraic reasoning, probability, and data analysis, and ratio and proportional reasoning within the context of algebra, probability and data analysis. There is a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem solving.
