Catalog description

Pre-requisites: MTHD 104 or equivalent course, or placement into MTHD 104 with concurrent enrollment in MATH 131 , or placement into MATH 114 . Satisfies: completion of this course with a grade ≥C satisfies mathematics competency (additional clearance must be completed for proficiency). Topics studied are quadratic, rational, and radical equations and functions including an introduction to the algebra of polynomial functions. Problem solving, use of graphing tools, and quantitative and abstract reasoning are emphasized throughout the course.
