Pre-requisites: ACCT 251 or junior standing. Human resource management (HRM) is an ongoing process consisting of various critical functions including human resource planning, recruitment, selection, training and development, job analysis, performance appraisal, compensation and health and safety. These functions and their interdependence are discussed. Various external forces that constrain managerial decision-making are also explored including HRM relevant laws and regulations, workplace diversity and multiculturalism.
