Catalog description

Pre-requisites: HLED 380 or permission of instructor. In this course students learn how to develop a detailed and evidence-based health promotion program using planning models. Emphasis is placed on developing and understanding: needs assessments, program rationale, mission statements, and goals and objectives. Students also explore theories and models commonly used in health promotion programs and apply these principles in a service-learning project.
