Catalog description

Notes: A minimum of 10 credits of upper-division History coursework is highly recommended. Students are required to submit final papers for a scholarly conference presentation. Pre-requisites: ENGL 201 or permission of instructor. Guides students through the process of transforming an initial research project into a product suited for presentation in a professional setting. Skills emphasized include primary source research and interpretation; constructing a scholarly argument from historical sources; crafting an abstract; finding appropriate scholarly venues; and converting a written paper into an academic talk.
