Notes: course fee is to be determined. Field work is expected everyday of class. Pre-requisites: junior or senior standing and permission of the instructor. Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–senior capstone. Applies geologic principles to the solution of field problems in the Rocky Mountain fold and thrust belt. This four-week course of study includes geologic mapping, description of stratigraphic relationships, structural analysis, and GPS data collection. Maps, cross-sections, and a formal report of the field study are required. The location of the camp can vary.
