Pre-requisites: GEOS 475 . Corequisite: GEOS 485L . Uses the principles of rock and soil mechanics to evaluate the stability of natural and engineered slopes, aid in design of earthworks and foundations, and plan the construction of dams, levees, aqueducts, and other waterworks. Companion course to GEOS 485L .
