Pre-requisites: ≥C in CHEM 173 and CHEM 173L . Corequisite: GEOS 466L . Focuses on the principles and application of radioactive, cosmogenic, and stable isotopes as environmental tracers in soil, water, atmosphere and biological materials. Topics include the variations in isotopic composition of natural materials and the processes behind these variations (e.g., fractionation, radioactive decay, mineral dissolution). Companion course to GEOS 466L .
