Pre-requisites: GEOS 100 , GEOS 222 , or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: GEOS 408L . Principles of paleontology including methods of description and analyses of invertebrate fossils. Emphasis on principles of morphology and evolutionary development of invertebrates and the use of invertebrate fossils in biostratigraphy and paleoecology. Companion course to GEOS 408L .
