Catalog description

Pre-requisites: sophomore standing or permission of instructor. Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–global studies. Identifies and critically evaluates the geographic distribution of political actions and outcomes in the context of globalization. Topics include state, regional, national and international electoral politics, international war and conflict, access to natural resources, nationalism, democratization, terrorism, processes of militarization, and the politics of identity.
