Catalog description

Notes: this course satisfies a core requirement in the geosciences curriculum. Pre-requisites: sophomore standing or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: GEOS 321L . Introduces spatial analysis methods in a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) framework, with a balance of theory and applied labs. Students learn to select, implement, and interpret spatial techniques on both social science and environmental data sets with an emphasis on real-world problem framing. Companion course to GEOS 321L .
