Catalog description

Pre-requisites: GEOS 321 or permission of the instructor. Corequisite: GEOS 306L . An introduction to historical and active wildfire mapping. Covers various wildfire data sources, methods for mapping historical versus active fires, and limitations of current GIS workflows in the field. This course is project-based and considered an upper-level GIS elective. Companion course to GEOS 306L .
