Catalog description
Pre-requisites: Corequisite: FILM 215L . Satisfies: a BACR for humanities and arts. Explores how animation grew from humble beginnings to become a global medium. Animation amuses but it also expresses artistic and cultural aspects of the human experience. This course examines the many forms of animation, from hand-drawn to computer-generated, and ends by studying our current Golden Age. Critical viewing, thinking, and writing are central. Companion course to FILM 215L .
