Catalog description

Pre-requisites: admission to Teacher Education program. Covers developmental and theoretical foundations for early literacy development beginning at birth, and supporting children with and without special needs. Includes approaches for implementing evidence- and research-based early literacy practices for students to succeed in creating and managing a literacy-rich home-, classroom- and community environment. Students become reflective decision makers and competent pre-professionals.
