Pre-requisites: EDUC 479 . Provides foundational skills for supporting reading for understanding in kindergarten through third grade. Content outlines scientifically based reading instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Students become skilled in evidence-based practices for reading instruction through the use of tiered instruction and data-driven decisions.
