Catalog description

Notes: required for all students in the secondary route. Designed to meet multiple required standards of the Professional Educator Standards Board. Pre-requisites: EDUC 231 . (These include INTASC, CCDEI, JMLSTI,, HLP, TIP, SEL, and the SOE Conceptual Framework). In this secondary education applied methods course, teacher candidates learn how to assess and implement strategies to support their teaching in the content area. Teacher candidates learn principles of instructional design and begin to develop lesson plans that align with standards, outcomes, and assessments. Teacher candidates design and implement various types of assessment tools to determine the importance of data and authentic feedback.
