Catalog description

Pre-requisites: Acceptance into the Teacher Education Program required. Department authorization and application required for admission. Evidence of taking the Washington Education Skill Test-Basic (WEST B) or satisfactory SAT or ACT scores; a minimum cumulative GPA ≥2.8 and completion of required prerequisite courses with a B- or higher in each course. Investigates reading processes, emergent literacy, word identification, vocabulary, and comprehension in elementary reading programs.
