Catalog description

Pre-requisites: admission to the PB Dental Hygiene Practitioner program. This didactic and simulation laboratory course reviews common medical and dental emergencies that may occur in dental settings, as well as, emergency management and prevention protocols. Emphasis is on accurate data collection, analysis, and information processing to develop appropriate action plans resulting in successful outcomes in the management of dental and medical emergencies. Medical emergency simulation laboratory experiences take place in a dental operatory.
