Pre-requisites: admission to DNHY Program. Corequisite: DNHY 421SL . Lecture/laboratory experiences provide an understanding of the history, theory, and use of nitrous oxide sedation and local anesthetic agents. Pharmacology, emergency prevention and management, equipment safety, patient management, safe administration, patient comfort, and student-operator decision making are discussed. Companion course to DNHY 421SL .
