Catalog description

Pre-requisites: DESN 301 . Students will research, explore and create pictorial images based on universal ideas of world building. They will examine the cultural context of imagery contained within folklore, legends, myths, fantasy and science fiction, explore how the role of global communities, ethics, satire, wit and the internet impact contemporary image making, and use a variety of media to explore atmosphere, color, character design, and plot visualization in the creation of virtual environments and narratives.
