Pre-requisites: CSCD 484 with a grade ≥ C+ or CSCD 584 with a grade ≥ C+; CYBR 303 with a grade ≥ C+; CYBR 480 with a grade ≥ C+ or CYBR 580 with a grade ≥ C+; Advancement Programming Exam clearance. Corequisite CYBR 581L . Covers the applications of AI for security assessment, monitoring, and threat detection, focused on the use of AI for defensive cybersecurity measures. Topics include threat monitoring and detection using machine learning methods, anomaly detection techniques, malware analysis and detection with AI, and AI-based intrusion detection systems. Programming projects are required. Companion course to CYBR 581L .
