Catalog description

Pre-requisites: CSCD 240 with a grade ≥C+, CSCD 300 with a grade ≥C+. Corequisite: CSCD 565L . Helps students develop a solid understanding of parallel programming and systems. Topics may include Java thread programming, Pthreads on the Linux platform, and thread synchronization. The course also covers advanced areas such as parallel programming applications in graphical user interfaces and network system programming. Students complete hands-on projects to reinforce these concepts. Companion course to CSCD 565L .
