Catalog description

Pre-requisites: CSCD 320 with a grade ≥C+; MATH 301 with a grade ≥C. Studies advanced data structures and skills for designing and analyzing nontrivial algorithms. Progresses toward advanced topics based on the foundation of basic algorithm design and analysis skills such as divide-conquer and dynamic programming. Covers topics including approximate algorithms, randomized algorithms and statistical analysis, string algorithms, algorithms for network flow problems, various advanced data structures, and the NP-completeness.
