Catalog description

Pre-requisites: CSCD 300 with a grade ≥C+, Advancement Programming Exam clearance. Corequisite: CSCD 429L . Data mining is the process of automatic discovery of patterns, changes, associations, and anomalies in massive databases. This course provides an introduction to the main topics in data mining and knowledge discovery, including: data preparation for knowledge discovery, frequent pattern and association mining, classification and cluster analysis. Companion course to CSCD 429L .
