Pre-requisites: admission to the MFA program and completion of one year's work in the program, or equivalent. Graduating MFA students focus on generating a final, polished, book-length work of either poetry or fiction working one-on-one with creative writing faculty. This culminating work is presented by the student to a thesis committee as part of their final oral defense.
