BEGINNING POETRY WORKSHOP.

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: CRWR 210 . A beginning workshop focused on writing and discussing contemporary poetry. Students will become conversant, in writing and orally, in the language of poetics including imagery, figurative language, structure and sound devices. They will learn to effectively offer written and oral analytical/critical feedback via the workshop format. They will understand sentence mechanics and the revision process as central elements in poetry writing.
