Catalog description

Notes: English proficiency desired but not required. Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–diversity. Combination theory and application course on intercultural communication. Introduces some of the fundamental topics, theories, concepts, and principles that are at the center of the study of intercultural communication. The course follows a multi-media approach; students see how media (newspapers, TV, film, and internet) reveal patterns of cultural behavior and shape how we see and interact with people from other cultures.
