Catalog description

Pre-requisites: ENGL 201 . Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–diversity. Survey of how Chicanx/Latinx have been depicted in film, news, television, and other media formats in the U.S. Examines Hollywood depictions of the Latino/a experience in the film industry from the early period of U.S. cinema to contemporary representations; the depictions of Latinx in television and the news; and the emergence of Chicanx/Latinx early documentary to the full length dramatic feature film.
