Pre-requisites: MTHD 104 with a grade ≥C, or concurrent enrollment in MATH 114 . Prepares those who have not had a satisfactory background in high school chemistry to take CHEM 161 and CHEM 161L , or CHEM 171 and CHEM 171L . Topics include the scientific method, SI and metric systems, unit conversions, atomic structure, periodic table, bonding, and stoichiometry.
