Notes: may be stacked with CDST 434 . Pre-requisites: graduate standing. Child life specialists are traditionally employed in children’s hospitals however, the application of child life skills are increasingly being used in many non-traditional settings. Includes applying conceptual child life to non-traditional settings, and gaining an understanding of how to use their skill set to expand the profession. Students must have a fundamental understanding of major developmental theories and theoretical frameworks of child life prior to taking this course.
