Catalog description

Pre-requisites: one of: BIOL 301 , BIOL 302 , BIOL 303 , BIOL 304 ; or permission of instructor. Corequisite: BIOL 445L . Covers the diverse ecological functions of streams and their roles in global processes. The primary focus is on ecosystem function. Stream organisms and their communities are also covered. Laboratories include field work, laboratory techniques, data analysis, and professional methods for measuring rates of stream ecosystem processes and investigating stream communities. Companion course to BIOL 445L .
