ADVANCED COST ACCOUNTING FOR MBA STUDENTS.

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: successful completion of BADM 505 or approved equivalency and admission to the MBA program or permission of the School of Business Director of Graduate Programs. The course is designed to extend and apply the knowledge base in cost accounting and provide a further understanding of managerial accounting issues in planning, organizing and controlling organizational activities. Topics include analyzing and managing costs, developing cost systems that facilitate decision-making, identifying opportunities for improving business process, and developing measures to assess performance. Focus is on cost control and profit analysis.
